Greeting Card Merchandiser Job in Williston, ND

The Territory Assistant is a part time position. You will be responsible for coordinating all store level activities. You will also be responsible for developing strong relationships and interacting regularly with store personnel and management. You may be required to work with store management to obtain incremental retail floor space for outpost product and merchandising. In addition, you may be responsible for installation activities including moving card departments, building fixtures, and merchandising product. You will also work as a Retail Merchandiser. Where, if selected for the position, you will be assigned a hand-held computer. This unit serves a couple of purposes. It will track your time worked as well as the activities you perform each day on your service call. At the beginning of each service day, you will log in on your unit, read all messages and also check your shipment screen. You will then proceed to the Receiving area of the store to see what shipments have arrived. The freight could be just a few boxes or as many as twenty or more, which is typical during busy seasonal times. Some of the boxes can weigh up to 50lbs each. Product is then taken from the backroom to the department to be put out on display. You will replenish, straighten, and track inventory of the every-day and seasonal greeting cards and specialty items which includes gift wrap, party supplies and other stationery items. With your unit, you will scan bar codes on the products to determine product placement, track inventory and determine replenishment needs. You may also have to walk to areas outside of the card department to service other displays in the store. When your work in the department is complete, you will log out of your unit. As a Territory Assistant, you will coordinate all store level activities and as the Retail Merchandiser, you will merchandise the product at a major retailer in Williston, ND. You must be available to work during the morning hours every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You must start your work day by 11am (no earlier than 8am) and additional days may be required during the seasonal peaks. Although hours are not guaranteed, you will typically work 16-20 hours each week during non-seasonal times and 26-30 hours during busy holiday periods. Your daily hours may vary depending on the shipment size. You must also be available to work up to an eight hour shift the week before and the day after any major holiday.
